General Laborers

GMS is hiring General Laborers for our local client’s surface mine site located near Madisonville, KY. This position is currently contracted until June of 2022, with the potential to be extended to full term permanent employment.

Responsibilities

  • Work with General labor surface team to move product and mining materials

  • Operate light surface equipment (forklifts, backhoes, etc.)

  • Lifting material and complete labor duties as needed during terms of work assignment

  • Work completed in a Mining environment (Surface)

Requirements

  • 2-3 years General Labor Experience

  • 2-3 years Forklifting Experience

  • At least 2 years Backhoe Experience

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Prior Mining Experience (Preferred)

  • MSHA Certification (Preferred- NOT Required)

Job Specifications

Pay Rate:  $15.00 per hour

Shift:  Day shift (Monday – Friday) Overtime hours if needed
